Hello and Welcome, I created this blog to give musicians and fans a chance to talk about and discuss their love for the blues. This blog will give us a chance to talk about up coming musicians, guitars, amps and effects, and anything else related. I would like to keep this blog going so I am going to post new topics every other day. Thank You " Clapton is God "
I like em both but like bb king stated Peter Green is the one who gives me the cold sweats.
ReplyDeleteClapton was the man who inspired me to pickup the guitar, but peter green's playing truly is haunting.
ReplyDeleteSlowhand and Greeny (for me the better of the two) were two of the best in their day, but neither have been able to maintain those high standards they set in the 1960's
ReplyDeleteFor the here and now - the man of the moment has to be Joe Bonamassa. He has breathed fresh life into the blues.
Ian
Mine is Jimmy Page he was fluent in many styles, he could do it all.
ReplyDeleteI was born and raised in Austin Texas so im going to have to go with Stevie Ray Vaughn.

ReplyDeleteAlthough Peter Green / Page and Clapton were who got me interested in music, as opposed to just Blues, I got more into rock at an early age. It was Gary Moore and his style of Blues that rekindled my interest in the late '80's which I still have to this day. I prefer guitarists that can switch genres so I would agree Joe Bonamassa currently is bringing most to my party, and yet I would be reluctant to saddle him with a purely 'Blues' moniker although sure, his roots are in there.
